Been a while since I've posted; haven't had the time or the inclination to surf lately. Hope you're all doing well.
Does anyone know if there is a small, home-sized grain huller available? I'm interested in researching one--long story. Hullers are needed for most grains (hulled oats, barley, rye, rice). Some farm co-ops have big ones that will handle large harvests, but I'd like to know if there is one that's sized for a family operation.
Or perhaps someone knows of plans for one. I would imagine there is such an animal somewhere; I'm sure it could be used in villages overseas. I did find plans for a small-scale peanut sheller online, via a documentary on the subject that was on the Link channel (which generally features liberal stuff, but this show caught my attention because it was homestead-oriented!). But I haven't seen plans for a grain huller.
Alchemy Acres found me online plans for a grain thresher. So maybe there's a huller in my future, too!
Thanks for any help y'all can provide.
