It used to drive me nuts trying to find the right size containers to save my garden's seeds for the next year.
35mm film canisters, pill bottles, freezer paper envelopes, etc. You can get several thousand lettuce seeds in a film canister and you are going to need only 100 or so. Huge waste of space. Enter the pill reminder box. I probably have the name wrong, but I am referring to those small plastic boxes with seven snap-lidded compartments. They are just right for the small amount of seed I have to save and they take up NO room in the freezer. Need something slightly larger? These same containers come in several sizes. Pick one to suit your needs. To prevent accidents, I tape each filled compartment closed with a piece of clear plastic tape. After I have put inside a small piece of paper with the name of the seed. Try it, you'll like it.

Wonderful idea!

I just bought a set of small clear containers from American Science and Surplus for seed saving and love them. They have about the same storage space as the pill reminder box. http://www.sciplus.com/category.cfm/subsection/7

I think I like the pill reminder box idea better for storing a group of seeds together though.. like 7 different varieties of Tomato, etc. That way you have all of them together :)
