salal berries

has anyone ever picked these berries ?Have u made pies or jam from them?i see them all the time.i always thought they were inedible.then i found out we can eat them.so this yr.i promised myself i would pick them and also try some oregon grapes this yr.too.thanks in advance.rae-dean

I know they are edible, have a ton of them here but haven't tried them. Let me know how it turns out.
