I have some wild turkey and snappin turtle meat that was left in the back of the freezer and has become freezer burnt. They have been in there for maybe 2 years because i left for college and nobody else woud eat them. I was wanting to can them up and was wondering if they might be harmful in any way.
If they just taste kinda bad thats allright cause I can eat anything.
Thanks

As long as there is no spoilage and you don't mind the taste of freezer burnt meat then I can't see why you can't can it. Just follow the instructions on your pressure canner.

I would use a heavily flavored broth which 'might' help take some of the bad taste from the meat.

To save meat that has freezer burn, I Thaw it just enough to soften the outside (surface) and with a sharp knife, shave off the bad spots. It's easy and it gets rid of the freezer burned taste.

I agree with the other posters...And, you can marinate it in worchestershire sauce, a little garlic powder, and lots of onion powder and pepper, then cook as normal, and you shouldn't taste the freezer-burn "whang" too much. It should be fine to eat as long as it isn't spoiled.

Another thought - you can cut it into strips, marinate it as I described above, and then turn it into jerky!
