I just bought a 25 lb bag of sprouted wheat flour and same of sprouted spelt flour.

After reading through the boards about storing flour, I was wondering if anyone knows if sprouted grain flours store differently then regular milled flour?

I was planning on sealing several pounds in each seal a meal bag with an oxygen absorber.

Will this method prevent the flour from going rancid?

Will the oxygen absorbers prevent any insects from hatching since they have no oxygen?

Sprouted flours need to be stored in a fridge or freezer or other cool place just like a whole grain flour as if it is a true sprouted flour it will contain the bran and germ and those can go bad. For more info check out www.organicwheatproducts.com
