No. They are a low-acid food which requires Pressure Canning.

Unless of course you find a recipe for 'pickled' turnips.

turnips do very well fermented like sauerkraut. My mom cans them when the fermentation process is done and she does them in hot water bath. they do not taste like a turnip anymore. we love them. cook a piece of bacon with them.
