I canned this weekend for my first time, and after waiting the 12 hours to check the seal, I noticed some air bubbles against the glass in my sauce and stew. I used the air spatula thing, but what happened?..... And is it safe to eat, or what should I do?? Thank you!

Hello mischiefsgirl, provided you processed the food for the correct time and it is sealed, I'm thinking it is good. But when you open always boil for about 15 minutes before tasting. If it looks and smells good chances are it is. When I can meat products and speghetti sauce I usually have bubbles after processing and it hasnt hurt my canned stuff.Sometimes with thick foods air bubbles get trapped when the food boils in the jar as it should during processing. Keep canning and good luck. Just always follow the canning book to the letter
