How much meat per jar?

After many no-tag years, the DH and sons have drawn out for various hunting tags for deer, elk and bison. If, per chance, they are universally successful, I will need a few more canning jars.

How many pounds of cubed meat per quart jar?

a pint = a pound,
2 pints= a quart,

It will probably be a little less because of head room. Meat you have canned will be cooked, so if you want to substitute in a recipe calling for 2 pounds of raw meat one quart of canned meat should be about right.
