Along with apples and plumbs, cherries. I had three gallon bags full. Took me a week and a half to get these.
We had a family dinner here, nieces and nephews were hungry. I couldn't say no. Well, they needed some to take home, parents don't cook good, I was told.So now I got to do it again. That's what I get for not having candy around the house. Well, they got to eat something good here. I had one little nephew that didn't know what a dried piece of fruit was. He said it was "rolled" at his house. He said mine was better. And the good part. I don't mind at all.

It is amazing how uninformed the masses are about dehydrated foods; esp. fruits. I always dehydrate a full unit at once, nine trays, and take two of the trays to work the next day. Everybody is hooked! Funny, though, every time I dehydrate bananas, they never come out like the dehydrated banana chips at the store. Theirs must be soaked in a honey water first, cause theirs are sweeter. Mine are more pure (lol). I know it is not the most pure and healthy snack in the world, but I LOVE banana chips dipped in chocolate.

I have always dipped my banana slices in lemon juice when drying them to keep them from turning brown, but lately more often I will dip them in pineapple juice. makes them a bit sweeter and gives a little different taste, kind of like...a Hawaiian Luau. ;D Chocolate sounds good. Too bad we can't dry peanut butter on them. heh heh heh
