General Pickle Brine

1 quart vinegar ( distilled or apple cider)
3/4 cup pickling salt
2 quart water

Add all ingredients in a suitable pot and bring to a boil.
You can add whatever spices to the brine to suit your taste or add 1 tsp of spices to the canning jars before adding the brine.

thanks for your brine formula. I may just try it. here is mine.
2 quarts vinegar, 3 quarts of water, one cup of pickling salt. add spices to suit your taste.
