I was super estatic this afternoon when I scored (or thought I had) an All American 941 Canner for $100.
Now that I have it home, and have downloaded the manual and looked at things, I don't know if I got an actual 941 Canner that has been converted to a sterilizer, or if this is a "941 sterilizer".
The lid says "941 Pressure Canner / Cooker", but instead of having the weighted pressure gauge on the right, the lid is engraved "EJECTOR" and it has the sterilizer-type ejector valve.
It has the sterilizer basket inside instead of the canning jar rack.
I'm thinking this is a 941 that someone converted to use as a sterilizer. The man I bought it from said when he was handing it to me that he used it for mushroom cultures, and I read tonight online that they use the sterilizer for that.
Anyone here experienced enough to help me with this, or does anyone know of another forum I could try?
THANK YOU!
