Hi, does anyone out there ever can wild mushrooms? How is it done?

You would most certainly need to have a pressure canner.........

But if it were me: I would dry them rather than can them.

PLEASE be absolutely sure of what type of mushroom you're picking........there are way too many kinds out there that look alike. :D

My vote is to dry them. Easy to store, practically forever, and easy to rehydrate and taste oh, so fresh when rehydrated. You can rehydrate in water or in milk if you want them plump and juicy.

I would like to try canning moral mushies w/ some beef for stews, any one ever try that?
