Thursday was the farmer's market, and I decided some spring traditional foods were worth the cost in calories, since I only do this once or twice a year.
Yesterday I had a tender bunch of steamed purple asparagus with just a bit of basil flavored white sauce on top. Yummmm!
Today, I made a batch of wilted lettuce with bacon & spring onions for lunch, and tonight I'm making creamed peas and new potatoes. Next, it's got to be a spring pasta salad with the tomato, radishes, red pepper and the last of the spring onions. . . to use up the last of the farmer's market stuff while it's fresh!
Do you celebrate the spring bounty, and if so . . . what's your favorite recipe?
