I love the okra that you get with a salad that are small and served cold, how to you make it like it?

Those are pickled.
From the size I figure they use very young pods.
I've never done them but you should be able to google up "pickled okra recipe" and find plenty of how to's.
I wish I could figure out how to make (what was told to me) grilled okra.
Plenty of recipes for cooking okra on a grill but none for this stuff.
I ate it in south Louisiana (Houma ... Cajun country)
The lady at the restraunt told me to just mix half okra and half onions and grill it till the slime is gone.
They had a large gas plate grill (like any restraunt)
So far I ain't been able to get it to come out as good.
Stuff looked disgusting but was soooo good.
