Here's a real easy cookie recipe that you can have your kids help with, if you want to get them started around the kitchen. Take a big blob of peanut butter (I'm guessing a cup and a half) and add to it a half a bag (6 oz.?) of Butterscotch morsels. Put them in the microwave for about 2 minutes at 50% power. When they come out, stir. If they're not mixed yet, put them in for another minute at 50%. Keep doing this until they stir smooth. Once they're blended, dump in about 2 cups (to start) of Corn Flakes. Use a wooden spoon and start coating all the flakes. If it looks like you still have alot at the bottom of the bowl, gradually add some more corn flakes, until they're all just covered. Now take spoonfulls of them and place them on a cookie sheet covered with wax paper. Each one should be about the size of a silver dollar or so. Once you've got the sheet covered, put them in the freezer. It should only take about 5-10 minutes for them to get set up. Remove them, and put them in ziplock plastic bags. Whenever you want one, just go to the freezer, and let it sit out about 5 minutes or so. Then you can eat it right there. I haven't experimented but I'm guessing you could try using cheerios or just about any other cereal here. (Kids just need to be careful when the stuff comes out of the microwave). ;)
