Brown two pounds of lean ground beef (venison is also good) with 1/2 of a sweet onion, cut into small pieces. Drain the grease. Mix with the sauce I'm about to describe:
One 14 ounce bottle of ketchup.
1/2 cup water
1 tablespoon mustard
1 tablespoon white vinegar
4 tablespoons of brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper.
Simmer for 15 minutes after combining. Serve em on a bun...but I can be happy just eating the stuff out of a bowl.
