Last Seen?

I was curious if it would be possible to add a "Last Seen" feature to Member Profiles.

We had a lot of Member Accounts under 20 posts that pop in and ask a question. I would like the "Last Seen" in the Profile to tell if it would be worth while to make a reply.

For instance I come across a Post by a new Member with few posts. If it February and the new Member has not returned to the Forum since last November, I can avoid wasting my time.

It's never a waste of time to answer a question, since others are likely to be interested in the answer.

In addition, many members only log in when they want to ask a question, but visit regularly to read as guests.

All one has to do is look at the post because under the title it has date and time.

Had my own forum so that meant something to me because my rule was that you post every 30 days or I would pull your membership as mine wasnt open like BWH is and one had to actually log on to read. *Sounds controlling but the purpose is to keep lurkers and trouble makers out if possible. Besides some do post personal stuff and this was my way of protecting them even though they were warned not to. *Sometimes it just slips out but my intention--protecting my members and friends.

That applies only to the particular post in question. I you looked at say Homesteading library it would seem as though I had not returned in months or years. Where as as looking here in Comments you could see I was "here" today.

Tying in a "Last Seen" to the Profile, just shows when a Person last logged in.

While another Member may take interest in a Reply, why would I wish to reply to no one?

This is the equivalent of a Person shouting a question to a crowd, then leaving before they receive an answer. To want Purpose? Anyone could randomly shout opinions because someone else may be interested. Again to what Purpose? Foment thought? Create discussion? To hope that either is created?

I, personally just don't want to shout replies to emptiness.

In realty you have that function already;
just log in. click on a members name and click on review last (10) post it will show the last 10 with the last on top.. for example your last post was today at 519.. to post you had to be logged on..

so the feature is there already.l

Why all that when it can be under an avatar or on the Profile page?
