Have any of you tried these units? *

My wife and I received 20 lbs of chicken as an early Christmas present. *When I went to get it from the in-laws, my mother-in-law gave us one of the new hand-vacs to try. *I had seen them in the store but they appeared to be to "disposable" for my money.

The first bag sealed alright, the 2nd was about the same. *After that, my wife and I couldn't get the unit to work correctly. *We both thought perhaps we were doing something wrong. *After reviewing the instuctions a few times, we still couldn't get it to work correctly. *I ended up using my central vac to get most of the air out. *

We are going to suggest our in-laws take advantage of the 30 day guarantee.

Don't bother with this device unless you feel like tossing some money out. *If you do have one and figured out the secret method, let me know.

When I saw this in the store I knew I wouldn't be interested because you have to buy special bags to use. What a waste of money.

Try a Pump-N-Seal. Cheap, easy to use and works great every time on both quart jars and plastic bags.

I have a vac seal that we use regularly. I was short on bags and she wanted us to try the new unit so....
