My Ex got to keep all of our cast iron cookware and I have only recently [this last year] started re-collecting a set back together.

I have;
1-10" Griswold fry pan
1-10" (4 qt) DO (stove top style = no legs)(no lid)
2- grill/griddle 's

I need;
1- 10" lid
1- 6" fry pan [w/lid]
1- 6" (2 qt) sauce pan [w/lid]

I'd be real proud to trade one of those grill/griddles for a 10" lid. The DO lid [with the raised lip around the edge] would be my first choice.
I am also "in the market" for cast iron pots [and pans] with or without lids.

Thanks,

Sorry, I'm real happy to have the cast iron that's in my cupboard.
Have you tried auctions? I've seen quite a bit at household auctions.

Hey! I don't know what stores are in your area, but in our area Big Lots stores have some limited cast iron. But perhaps better is the thrift stores like Goodwill and Salvation Army stores. They get a lot of crap, but most folk think that if a pan or pot isn't copper-plated, double-walled and the space filled with kryptonite it is crap. So they cast off their old stuff (pun intended - sorry). Just make sure you scour that stuff really, really well and restart the seasoning process from scratch.

(My favorite way is to coat everything with canola oil and put it on the propane barbque grill, close the lid and run it on high till the smoke stops rolling. Let it cool and do it again. And possibly again.)

If you have the budget for it, Cracker Barrel has a better than average supply of cast iron stuff. If you are near Gatlinburg, TN, there is a Lodge brand outlet store just South of I-40 off the exit. There's not much they don't have. And that's the only place I've been able to buy a trivet plate. My local Wal-mart store has some cast iron also. The Bass Pro shops also carry it. (www.basspro.com) Another great source, especially if you order stuff in the mail is www.sportsmansguide.com Search keyword "cast iron" on both sites.
