I was up at my friends place (2 hrs away) helping him put the finishing touches on a 'fort' for his three boys this weekend. A bunch of roofing, siding, and my own personal touch: Adding in 100W of solar and a couple of lights!
So anyway, as I'm about to head home today, he asks if I "have any use for this thing.? You can have it if you want.."
"This thing" turned out to be a 21 quart Presto brand pressure cooker/canner, complete with wire rack for the cans! The seal is good and so are the air vent and gauge, but it's missing the pressure regulator thingy ( sounds like a steam locomotive when the pot's up to pressure). That'll cost about $10. Ooooo..dunno if I can afford THAT...::)
I've been wanting a pressure cooker for a while, but they're so danged expensive to buy new, and quite honestly I didn't want to 'aquire' another 'thing' that I'll need to store and pack around before I get my land.
But I wasn't about to pass up FREE!
