yes, there is a live chat. You can reach it from the left navigation by clicking on "Member Chat". If you first want to see if anyone is in there, click on the little round button at the top of the page that says "Who's in the chat room". There's usually people coming and going from the chat room in the evenings and sometimes there are some fun parties going on. LOL
