Micro-Hydro Power

I saw an episode of Invention Nation that featured some micro-hydro power setups. *The systems are pretty interesting and are scaled to provide for an average home and larger. *I was curious as to whether anyone has played with the idea or is currently utilizing anything like this. *I have several springs and thought I may be able to use this in an overall power system for the house. *Their website isn't the best but you can get the gist of it.

Thanks for the link. *I actually read through that site and many others and have become quite familiar with the concept. *I plan on measuring the output of my spring within a few weeks and move from there. *Tomorrow I am setting up a small methane digester so I can get some solid information on that topic as well which I've been researching for a few months. *I really like the idea of micro hydro since this spring has run continuous for the last 3 years and is piped to my foundation already.
