the company i work for is heated by two massive wood burners the Sasha You speak of as I remember used radiators in sand .The sand serving as a heat bank made for more even heating.the two at work the first built double wall has served well the later built single wall no sand fill continues to buckle and be problematic.The sasha? if I remember correctly had a concrete block exterior?filled with sand and basic radiators to serve as heat exchangers and hot water was pumped into the house =more consistent heat.

Hey, fairfarmer;

The HAHSA outdoor woodburning heater is no longer sold. Plans for making your own are still available at Mother Earth News for about $40.00. I THINK it is plan #1835 or something similar. Just go to the website and search there, and you'll find it in their do-it-yourself collection. Includes a materials list and 29 pages of directions.

good hunting;
