I've never seen your magazine in the big chain book stores. do you not sell to them or i simply never seen it. this magazine does tend to be on the anti government (nothing wrong with that) side of things but i can see how it could upset some.

Welcome to the BHM Forums, martinemyers! I've never seen it on a shelf either but, we only have one 'real' bookstore in town. It may be that no-one has requested them to carry it.

I'm not so sure that the magazine is on the anti gub side as much as it's on the self-reliance (from the gub) side. We are all, ultimately, responsible for ourselves.

Again..welcome aboard! :)

All of the Borders stores carry it as well as the Barnes & Noble stores in my area. *I always check out all of the hunting and outdoor magazines in stock even though I've had a subscription to BWH for several years. *

On a related note, these stores also started carrying "Backwoodsman" a couple of years ago. *It's articles focus more on primitive tools and living but I enjoy reading it as well.

As already noted, it is carried in certain Barnes & Noble as well as B. Dalton and Crown books stores. If the one nearest you does not offer it, you should be able to ask the manager to order it.

BHM does not have control over which locations offer the magazine. Those decisions are made by the distributors.

I, too, had been searching in vain for the magazine but found it today at Barnes and Noble in Knoxville. I bought the last one they had on display! ;D

i remember some article written by one of writers on this site saying some convention tried to ban this magazine because they though it was anti government or anti environmental or something don't recall the details. Just wondering if the philosophy here strikes a nerve with some types of people.
