View Full Version : If we dodge this bullet...

I've read quite a bit about the ramifications of an Obama presidency. I guess we'll know in a few weeks.
Would it be worth talking about what we should do if Obama loses?
I don't mean preparing for the inevitable riots, but rather beating back, and permanently, the wave of socialism that has risen high enough to make this dangerous man a contender for president.
The next congressional election is 2 years away, and only four short years to the presidential election.
If we have mercifully made it past this crisis without Karl Marx Jr. in charge, we better do something to insure we don't get this close again next time around.
Any comments/ideas?

Our country needs an education. So many are voting and they don't have the slightest idea why they are voting for Obama or McCain.
I've actually talked to some people and they have asked me what socialism is? ::) ::) ::) Some people never pick up a newspaper or watch the news. How do we get through to them ???

I don't know the anwer. I agree with Moose that now is the time to make sure we don't put a socialist in the White House.
However, if we're lucky to get out of this, this time, our job will have just begun.
If we get Obama, we all know we are excessively screwed. If we are "lucky" enough to get McCain we still are screwed. Just not as much in terms of freedoms. But I think we'd get the same amount of socialism though.

If we dodge this bullet, consider it a wake up call.
As if Gore and Kerry were not bullets we dodged. Gore was caught with $100,000 in money from the Red Chinese Army. The man should have been shot as a traitor. John Kerry met with the enemy during time of war, a felony under US law and probably treason. These Marxist ran for president?!
Now the socialist are openly calling for socialism.
Obama has complete contempt for our constitution.
IF we dodge this bullet, we need to take back our country the same way we lost it, we lost our universities, we lost our local schools, we lost our newspapers, and we lost our media.
1) Take back the schools, home school if need be. No way send your kid to be indoctrinated in public schools. Teach them the trivium; how to critically think.
2) Stop using the liberal media, and use conservative media. Cancel the local liberal paper and subscribe to a conservative one.
3) Stop giving business to socialist propaganda outfits, like CBS, ABC and the far left MSNBC.
4) We need to create more conservative colleges, one that will attract everyone, not just Bob Jones and BYU. We need schools that teach the libeal arts.
I think I want to run to Alaska and hope the leave the union.

if no one in your district is looking out for the constitution, run yourself, poltics are not that hard, we already have the constitution as a guide.
get on the ass of your local and state elected about the constitution, demand they defend it.
Join Ron Pauls Campaign for Liberty.
Find out what your kids are learning in school, better yet get on your school board and make sure the liberal agenda is met with some opposition!
When you hear someone say we live in a democracy, immediately correct them, educate yourself in the differences between democracy and a representative republic, so you can educate them.
Say Merry Christmas, if someone doesnt like it TOUGH!
If someone calls you a racist roll your eyes and tell them to stop drinking the koolaid. Never get into a "no I am not" conversation with a leftie, you will never win.
Get yourself out of debt, a debter society soon becomes the slaves of the debt holder (or something like that, I have seen that quote somewhere but dont remember who said it)
Watch what the UN is doing and then insist your congress critters are aware that YOU are aware.
Elect governors that will defend states rights, if your governor doesnt, let them- and all of their constituents know that they are not doing their job.
If there are conservative causes in your area, get involved, there is strength in numbers, so be seen and be vocal.

Dear Forum Members,
Folks, the nation as a whole is not going to dodge any bullet. The difference is only in the caliber. McCain is a .30-06 and Obama is a .50 Caliber. Either one can do hellacious or even fatal damage if the wrong spot gets hit.
The best thing you as an individual can do to dodge the bullet is lay low, "shrug" like Atlas, tend your own garden, and don't earn any more than you and yours need and/or any more than you can earn with discretion.

UnBoundOne that is exactly what we have planned. We owe nothing in the way of loans or mortgages and have postponed some plans for the duration. We will be living the gray life..

I have a mortgage....I have business debt.....I have to slog this thing out above board for a while. We are toying around with the purchase of acreage on which we would like to build a house and farm, but land aint cheap.
