School drill portrays killers as Christians
'We need to practice under conditions as real as possible,' says superintendent

2007 WorldNetDaily.com

School officials in Burlington, N.J., who wanted to stage a "hostage situation" drill have portrayed the attackers as Christians, including one who was upset that his daughter was expelled for praying before class.

Supt. Chris Manno praised the exercise to test the response of the school and police, explaining, "You perform as you practice. We need to practice under conditions as real as possible in order to evaluate our procedures and plans so that they're as effective as possible."

Lifesite News reported that the Christian students in the school were offended when the student body was told the alleged gunmen were "members of a right-wing fundamentalist group called the 'New Crusaders' who don't believe in separation of church and state."

The Burlington County Times said the mock gunmen pretended to shoot several students in the hallways before taking 10 students hostage in the district's media center.

Organizers of the drill said the "Christian" gunmen had gone to the school "seeking justice because the daughter of one had been expelled for praying before class."

But there's not much of reality to that scenario, according to Bob Pawson, spokesman for the Scriptures in School Project. Instead, it was just an excuse to denigrate Christians, he said.

I'm quite sure the folks at the school will deny it to the death, but my suspicion is that "Christians" were chosen for the terrorists because mirroring the real world and having "Muslim" terrorists would not have been politically correct as it would violate real terrorists' right to feel good about themselves and what they do.

In advertising, only white males or husbands can be made fun of or be made to look stupid, so mom, or whomever can come to the rescue. I believe that's because most people know the characterization to be false on it's face, so they see the humor in it.

While there is no humor in that "exercise," true Christians should take it as a compliment of sorts since most folks know how absurd the idea is to begin with.

Those that don't know...well...their problems are better left for another thread.

Oliver,

To me that is such grave error on ours as a societys' part.

When in reality --the day does come---people will be so scared of being attacked because we were not being politically correct--- or fear religious groups --they will shuffle over to their trains.

Or beheadings--which ever comes first!!

I am astounded--that in a few short years--since 9/11,
we have begun to cower in out little corners--in Fear!

Annie,

That's what happens when you "wussify" and entire generation of boys. They skip into manhood afraid to stand up and defend their family, their neighbors, and their way of life.

Folks who weave might want to start working on their prayer rugs. They're going to need them in the not so distant future if we continue to follow the course we are on.

I guess the rest of us will get ours at Wal-Mart.

I remember the Nam years--When people had back bones and stood up againest a War they thought or knew was Morally wrong.

Oliver--I try to hard to have faith in the people of this country.
Now the vast majority sit and wait for the religious freedom to be given them---not realizing the rights are guranteed by the Constitution--

And I know I sound like a complete nut--Its as if
we're waiting on instructions on how to be [forced ]become muslim---

I guess we should all order our Korans from B&N as soon as possible.

People who speak out about a war now a days are labelled "liberal". *I am not understanding this post. *Back in the days of Nam those people were also called liberal, usually with scum added to it...

I would never want to revisit any part of the "Nam" days. *When men, many only boys still, *went off to fight only to suffer more persecution when they returned. *Add to that the draft so many didn't volunteer to go there in the first place, it was a very very dark time.

Those people may have had backbones but they certainly had little humanity.

Little humanity?
I am not understanding that statement?

Dark time?
Yes indeed--James L Cherry--3rd tour of duty.

We are becoming cowards---
We are becoming totally PC'd
We are a Nation of whiners.
we want we want---but wont stand up and be counted.

I am tired of being afraid to say---I am of the Chrisitian faith----and I will not become a muslim just to stay alive and I will not be pc'd to death--[[-PC--politically correct]]

I will not be told I cant speak againest them--Muslims.

ODS --said we might ought to start knitting our prayer rugs----???

That was a different time, Annie, before government figured out that the best way to control the population was to make great numbers of them dependent upon handouts of one form or another.

Oliver--I try to hard to have faith in the people of this country.

Actually, Annie, the Constitution does not guarantee any rights nor does it grant any rights. According to the people who founded this nation, our rights and freedom come from nature or God by virtue of our being born. And they don't just apply to American citizens.

"all men are created equal" not "all Citizens of these united States are created equal."

The Constitution defines the role of Government and grants it a very few specific powers in the name of the People.

"We, the People, of these united States..."

It was clearly understood by all at the time it was drafted what limited powers were being granted to the new government. Even so, men with foresight insisted on amendments that clearly spelled out certain of the innumerable rights that were considered paramount to a nation of free people. They even referenced all the other rights reserved to the People, just in case some future bureaucrat tried to pull a fast one.

Of course, today, we only pay lip service to the Constitution, and only to those parts we currently approve of.

And I know I sound like a complete nut--Its as if

Perhaps the reason we've not seen another violent attack on our soil by Muslim terrorists is that they realized they did not have to kill us to conquer us. They only need to distract us for ten or twenty years while they build their mosques here and infiltrate every part of our society and culture.

When someday, fifty million of them take to the street, with or without arms, what will we do?

Some of us will die fighting them, but in the end, most will just use Google Earth to figure out in which direction they should stand to face Mecca.

That is the road on which we currently travel.

IMHO, of course.

Peace,

annie,

Correct, it (the constitution) is a statement, or reiteration of factual beliefs, or philosophical logic, a common understanding, evident to all, who wish to be free from subjugation, The Document it self is just a "declaration" of what they already understood to be essential, for a new nation of sovereign individuals. Your Individual rights granted by the fact you are born, HUMAN.

In political history it had never been done quite like this before, which is what made America then, so great, Every man by virtue of being born was his own, king so to speak, beholden to no one other than himself, and his own impetus.

"We(the people) hold these truths to be self evident
that all men are created equal and that they are "endowed" by their creator with certain unalienable rights, that "among" these are; Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness."

So when our own "elected" officials disregard, destroy, pervert, circumnavigate, etc, this document. They are in effect saying men ought not to be left to his own devices, he needs baby sitter, a magnanimous government, to make him play nice, to feed him, to house him, to educate him, to coerce him in to social compliance, or their model of the world.

IMHO

I think there is a lot of fallacy in some of the above posts.

For one, i think that the muslims are being fed the same line about us.

Who is pulling the strings on us both, and why?
Who is pushing all the illegal drugs into this country.
Who is using the t.v. and internet, etc. to bring our nation to it's knees with kinky sex and violence everywhere we turn, --and all kinds of miscellaneous distractions to entertain us into oblivion.

The muslims aren't doing this.
Even if we were able to build a perfect world, our kids would blow it away in a minute.
They are not learning the pricliples that build and sustain a quality life. Quantity is all that seems to occupy most of our minds, and instant self gratification.

We will bring it upon ourselves at the rate we are going.
You can't blame it on the old and infirm, and on proposed national health insurance to save lives here at home, or handouts alone.

You can't even blame it on the billions we are spending to destroy the lives of "terrorists" abroad, and everywhere else around the world before they get us.

What is this influence that is causing us all to act like the devil to destroy everything that the grand creator has made.

"--and God saw every thing that he had made, and behold, it was VERY GOOD."

How come we are being made to see "commies" and "terrorists", and all kinds of scarey things under every bed for most of our lives, and being taught to go on search and destroy missions all over the world?

1,500,000 abortions a year by americans upon their own flesh.
400,000 dying slow deaths from cancers directly realted to smoking cigs,
50,000 dead from drunken drivers, and many more seriously injured etc..

Why not go on a search and destroy mission against this very, very real and very clear, and very present danger, and the pollution in air and food and water that is killing millions more.

I have seen the enemy, and it ain't muslims. love, alma

I was terribly ill and for awhile didnt post---Just found this post again---sorry.

ODS--of course you are correct---I mis-spoke---They are GOD given rights--But the Constitution is suppose to limit Big government and its powers---Of course you and I know this is not the case.

Are we bad guys??

No--not in most cases---we have gone to war---had police-actions--trying to protect others.

I do believe it is out of hand---we go stick our noses in every little shooting match these other countrys get into.

Many---most have been going at it for way too long---we cant change history---we cant change others religious beliefs---hell we cant even get along in this country.

Bad guys?
No---misguided perhaps---tangled up in things we should leave alone.

But then---America--the Good Ole USA has always been the knight in shining armour---if they need a loan or the blood of our soldiers---

BUT---I have found other countrys kinda like inbred pitbulls---they bite---devour or kill the hand that feeds them---That betrayal deserves a real swift kick, or a flyby---followed by a loud sound.

I can never betray this country or the blood of its Patriots---

It is amazing, ain't it? We go to war and shed our blood to feed, liberate and protect muslims in places like Bosnia, Somalia, Afghanistan and Iraq and all we get in return is IED's, bullets and scorn.

No doubt, the foriegn aid money we pump into hellholes like Egypt, Jordan and others will be similarly repaid with hate and American lives.

If America is such a bad place, why does everybody on the planet want to emmigrate here?

Rick--I have been shaking my head over that one since Nam----

Why indeed----?

And if there's has to be a blame--to make it rightious in these countries--to blame us---It has to be the christians--those terrible people who feed the hungary,
doctor the sick and hand feed their orphans.

And the christian soldiers that shed blood to protect them.

ahhhhhhhhhhhhh crap----what a stupid excerise this was---in public school yet---but hey it makes sense.

I may as well leap in here and bear the consequences. *I am definitely showing my age and I spouted off on the flag thread (politics) but I lived through WWII. was young but kids remember. I remember how poor everyone was. How we did without for the soldiers. How everyone had maps to keep track of soldiers. Women knitted and knitted to send socks *and scarves for the soldiers. *Women "rolled bandages for hours for the soldiers. *This was not paid labor..This was love. *Writing to all soldiers...not just the ones you knew. *Kids giving up their pennies to save for Christmas presents for the soldiers. Prayers, prayers, more prayers.

Worry and concern but PRIDE not whining for their country. *They knew that if the war was lost...so was the country. I firmly believe that with this terrorist thing...we are in for it...really in for it. *

We maybe should not have gone into Iraq but we are there. *If we go and on a timetable then we have lost. *I question if the Dems really do not understand that what they are doing is shooting the soldiers in the foot , all for the 2008 election.

George W. has nothing to lose if he agrees to the scheduled pullout since he cannot run for Pres again, so I think he really thinks this is a bad thing.
