Yesterday I filled my truck's gas tank at $3.09.

Today all the local stations are at $3.35.

My office is 35 miles from my house. I can't afford to go to work!

This is just insane.

I recently made a comment to my hubby that we now put in $20 worth like we used to do $5...
I can remember returning cans and bottles for deposite (it's 10 cents ea. in Mi), a couple bucks for gas and a couple bucks for a pack of smokes to get me through til payday. Geesh, now you'd need $25 dollars to do the same thing!
35 miles? Oh man, that hurts!

I drive a 99 dodge turbo diesel to work and get about 20mpg. it's 20 miles to work and diesel in wash. is $3.85 a gal. so My first hour at work pays for my fuel with a little change left over. It's a good thing I have a retirement coming in also.

I saw a station today selling diesel for 4.09$. The best price i found after watching a while was 3.87$ How soon will it be that we ask when fuel will be less than 4$ a gallon?

I travel around quite a bit and have been using GasBuddy.com to check the prices in various towns.

I commute a two hour round trip daily, pretty soon I won't be able to afford to work either.
Heres a site I found today ( Ya gotta see the humor in "tonto", if you speak Spanish!)

I'm buying all the independent, self-serving, survivalistic junk I can now. I'm not wealthy, but all the money in the bank will be useless if you can't afford to go shopping, nor have anything delivered ( I need a grain mill, big wheel cultivator, bucksaw & more steel traps!)
We have only recently used up the last of my Y2K hoard! lol. Wish that squib had really blown up!
