I am thinking of machining some gas burners and wondered where I can find information on the interior geometry. I have some 2 1/2" shafting and hate to buy cast iron burners. They will be used in a kiln and I want as hot of a flame as possible. I will use propane at high pressure, 150 psi.

I've built them using Ron Reil's design...unfortunately he no longer has an active website (that I'm aware of). :'(
Try a Google search for Ron Reil and/or Michael Porter (alongwith 'venturi').
You can also access Ron's old sites via archive.org
http://www.archive.org/index.php
Enter...
http://www.frontiernet.net/~gnreil/index.shtml or

into the WayBackMachine.....
those are his old sites....there should be TONS of good info there!!
