Propane

I am just wondering if propane, after being stored, does it go bad or lose anything? Can it be stored indefinitely? If not can any fuel be stored for a long period of time? Just curious.

If propane can go bad, that's news to me. I just found an old bottle dad had filled more than 20 years ago, and it's working perfectly!!

if left in a sealed container(no leaks) Propane will last indefinitely

Yeah, indefinitely... from what I've read various places, oil companies will fill old oil wells with propane to increase pressure to get more oil... then use it as a storage for the propane and other natural gases when they are done with the wells. But I could be way off on that... but I swore I've read several things like that before.

This is correct oil companies do put Propane and Natural gas in underground storage during summer and pump it out in winter when demand is higher.
