Talk about living off the grid

I'm surprised no one here has posted this. Its very hot if you google it.

Quote(s).. From the above link.. :P

"Researchers at a US Navy laboratory have unveiled what they say is "significant" evidence of cold fusion, a potential energy source that has many skeptics in the scientific community."

"Despite their claim to cold fusion discovery, the Fleishmann-Pons study soon fell into discredit after other researchers were unable to reproduce the results."

I've been hearing about this for years. Many have "claimed" to find the secret but... ???

Yea, but Martin Fleishmann and Stanley Pons are "rumored" to have not worked at all in the last 20 years. They are living, if I remember the story right, somewhere like the Cayman Islands. Of course they have no official source of income. They were not motivated to correctly reproduce their discovery.
I hope someone else does rediscover their technique and totally blow the lid off the strangle hold the fossil fuel industry has over society.
my 2 cents of ranting for the day

Strange how people that actually might be unto something have to leave the US-I know of another case-Kevin

All I keep finding info on is an Art Bell radio talk show host. Is there another? What field was he in?

Well he used to host Coast to coast AM RADIO-a very cool guy.His first wife passed away and he found another wife in the Phillipines and he moved there. He was a ham radio devotee and he started experimenting with electric currents that are induced in a wire hanging in the air. He was starting to get some results and then he moved away and I havn't heard him say anything else about it.
Now electric linemen will tell you how careful you have to be with wires that aren't even connected to the power plant, apparently something induces a current in the wire.
Remember the shuttle experiment where they trailed the wire from the shuttle and it got burnt off? Happened in a hurry I understand.
What I was wondering is-was Art encouraged to give up his research?

boy you are listing old information. My cousin Dr. Frank Gordon is working on this with the Navy research. The recent work is being duplicated and a lot of new discoveries are being made daily. Google Dr. Frank Gordon and Cold Fusion and you will get some more up to date info.
I did post about this 2 years ago, because they were making the information public, but the media didn't pick up on it. I guess if you can't make fun of what's happening it's not newsworthy.

There is definitely some pretty kewl physics going on with this LENR/Cold Fusion thing. Transmutation of elements makes it inescapable that it is a nuclear reaction. I e-mailed/forumed with many of the Cold fusion researchers and there is definitely something nuclear going on.

I think it can be explained with conventional physics.

Produce your own limitless energy today! Send me 100$ and I'm mail you the plans to make your very own cold fusion reactor.

now that is old hat - years ago people in some areas were setting up huge coils of wire adjacent to high tension lines in order to produce an induced voltage sufficient to provide usable power - and, years ago, the courts ruled that this constituted prosecutable theft -

Ive done this little experiment myself with an insulated wire strung up in the wind. You can only get usable power out of it if you have miles and miles of wire.
