View Full Version : YO! Mag distribtion manager!
So far, the only place I've found the mag is at Borders. And since September, I have NOT seen the new issue out. I've seen the July/August issue. What's up with that? I need my BWH. Can't afford a subsription yet, but can afford it at the bookstore every other month.

Cil,
I think all the subscriber's receive their magazine before it goes on sale at some stores.
Yeah, BUT it's SEPT/OCT issue. It's October already.

I noticed a lot of survival mags have disappeared on the shelves at Books A million
I think if you look under the subscriptions area you can order the current issue as a sample issue. I would guess you would get whatever one they have up as a current issue, but I’m sure you could call to make sure.
I have to look over the web page more, I know about a year or so ago they where really pushing the life time subscriptions but I have not noticed it at all in the last few issues, maybe they don’t have that any more, or at least are not pushing it as much.
Have to see is any admin people chime in here. They should know if you can order just one at a time.
I guess there is just all kinds of good ways to get it if you can’t find it in a store, truth is I never saw it in a store.

I used to buy mine at Hastings- they had every new issue whenever it came out, as far as I can remember.
Ask someone at the bookstore about it. In my experience, they're willing to special-order magazines just like they do with books; That's the only way I was able to get some of my scandinavian music magazines.

My new edition is Nov/Dec. edition
And I hope you are enjoying it :( :'(
Mag distributors have been cutting back for more than 10 years and that's why Dave has been trying to make the subscription deals so great...It is really cheaper to subscribe (especially now when you figure in gas to and from a store!!!!) plus you know you mag will always get to you....and if for some reason it doesn't....Dave and all will replace it really really quickly...
I know things are tight tight tight financially for lots of folks, waaaaaay including me, but one thing I will not do without are my subscriptions to COUNTRYSIDE and BWH....I SAVE enough money by reading them and learning to do things on myself to more than get back the subscription costs....
As a subscriber (under different names but it's been ME) since almost the VERY FIRST, I have always urged everyone who can to subscribe because it shows support to Dave.....advertising rates and such are based a lot on subscriber numbers.....and we all enjoy this FREE web site....
So just remember, a subscription is usually lower than a lot of other things in our lives....I'd do without lunch for a week if I had to to subscribe....to me it's worth that much! My subscription is up for renewal now and I'll be doing that some time in the next few days!

I usually find it cheaper to subscribe. So have dropped all subscriptions except BWH and Countryside. I enjoy both free websites along the my Gulch, of course and Frugal Squirrels.
This last issue is particularly good.I admire Jackie Clay, not only for her knowledge, but for her courage.
