Someone on another group posted this. I thought you might enjoy it. It looks like a good alternative.

I'm thinking if you could run the motor off of solar or wind it sounds pretty neat... Otherwise, probably wouldn't generate more that it took to run it.
If you have something spinning you could use a generator to make electricity at efficiencies in the 90% range. If you made heat you could convert that to electricity at about 30-60% efficiency.
As for making more energy by friction that is just not how the world works. You can't put a small amount of electrical energy into something and get a large amount of heat energy out. Energy is the same no matter if it is electrical, mechanical, or thermal, there is no gaining anything by converting it

Here is the link to the forum it was found on. Someone spoke to the inventor and got more info.

What utter nonsense! The most this guy will ever accomplish is setting his own house on fire.
I can't believe that many people posted without someone that knows high school physics saying something.

You know Jott, as energy prices get higher and higher you'll see more and more hairbrained ideas like this being floated along. It's like telling a cancer patient you can cure their disease with your magic snake oil. Desperate people will believe anything.
I've tried referring to the laws of thermodynamics before when people thought they could run their cars on water. Should have just banged my head against the wall instead. The best response I got was "Well, maybe there are things about physics that we don't understand yet!".

I don't think the man has any idea how much steam it takes to turn a generator. I seen it made steam but the guy sure turned it off right fast.
He probably had the motor running for 1/2 hour or more to get that much steam and it would have been enough to get a generator started to turning, much less make the same amount of electricity that the moter had already used.
I have some hair brain ideas myself, but I always start looking for why it won't work before it even gets on a drawing board,, must less going as far as he has went already.
