Thief tips off police after finding child porn during break-in

RED DEER, Alta. (CP) — A Red Deer man has been jailed after an outraged burglar spotted massive amounts of child pornography on his computer and called police.
William Mitchell, who pleaded guilty earlier this year in Red Deer provincial court, was charged in October 2005 after RCMP, acting on an anonymous tip, searched his home. An agreed statement says that someone had broken into Mitchell’s residence and taken a video camera. The camera, the tipster said, had images of child pornography and would be left on the steps of a church.
Police retrieved the camera and soon realized the burglar had videotaped a computer monitor displaying images of child pornography.
Following the address printed on the burglar’s note, police seized computer equipment containing 13,315 pornographic images.

As a follow up to this........

My wife called her friend that lives close to where this happened in
Canada to see if the trial has taken place yet. Friend told the wife
that the trial is taking place now but that the pedophile was looking
at only.......18 months to 2 years max! :o :o

Whatever happened to lock these sicko's up and throw away
the key? >:( >:(

(Friend also told wife that police aren't looking very hard for the thief
because he returned the stolen camera! ;D ;D)

That's what should happen, lock them up and throw away the key, it's been proven that they can not be rehabilitated, but all over you see where they have been turned loose on society only to reoffend again, usually with it being much worse as they go along.

Only way to take care of them would be a few well placed bullets. ;D

Tightwad that may be true in some cases but as a mother of three and grandmother to 5 & 1/2 I can say with 100% surety it dam sure wouldn't bother me enough to stop me if I caught some perv molesting one of mine.

Oh Yes.......A grandma protecting her kids is a terrible force to be
reckoned with to be sure. :o :o

As a side note..........
The friend in Canada told my wife that this perverts arrest lead to 3
more perverts in Arizona who are now in custody. ;D ;D

It's also interesting to note that child perverts often don't live long
in prision. Even the convicted felons of murder , robbery or other
crimes (not involving kids) hate these perverts with a passion.

Life expectency for these perverts is often less than a year as I
understand it.
