I tend to think that the Republicans and Democrats are different sides of the same coin (to coin a phrase). I don't trust any politician and the only way to fix our government is to instill debate. A few years back Mr. Clinton had a house and senate where the majority was Democrat and like today with a republican president and the house and senate being majority republicans it seems as if nothing gets done.

I think politics is like a good vinaigrette for it to taste right you gotta shake it up. My plan for voting this year is as follows, if there is a third alternative be it green party, libertarian or independent my vote will go there if there is no third alternative vote for the person that is not the incumbent. Vote down all taxes and amendments and remember that on the ballot the question for judges is should they be retained. Out for them too.

Nothing gets done ?

...haven't exactly been keeping up now have we ?

Perhaps I should have rephrased that. Not all that gets done is good. I'm sure that if a raise in their pay was on the ballot they would be voting. 8)

Y'all two guys, WOW, my kind of guys!

You are a True Believer in President Bush and his
New Republican Party. Your loyalty and devotion to
him is matched only by your desire to see his liberal detractors locked away and declared enemy combatants. Given the chance, you'd gladly vote
Bush a third term, and if America were so blessed,
you'd be perfectly content if Bush were president
for life.

I'm a believer in standing up against terrorism.
I like having adults in charge rather than someone so worried about their legacy that they don't have time to address terrorist.
I like the fact that since 9/11 there have been no more attacks on the US
I like the fact that over 95% of the people that want jobs in this country are working...that our unemployment rate is the lowest it has ever been.
I like the fact that the DJI average is higher than it has ever been.
I'm glad to see oil prices going down .
I'm glad to see all of the success in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Lot of things I like going on right now.

May just be a lot more Wednesday morning.

Don't forget lower taxes with Republicans and higher taxes with Dimmocrats.

Every time the tax rates are lowered, the economy takes off AND actual income into the government increases.

I'm not completely happy with everything Bush and Co. does, but they're better than the alternative. Like you say Old, it's nice to have the adults in charge.

" I'm not completely happy with everything Bush and Co. does, but they're better than the alternative. "

I'm not either but I think we are a lot better off with them running things than the democrats (and face it folks, it will be one of the two...for now)

I really fear for what we will wake up on Wednesday morning and find out. I'm not always happy with the Bush Administration, but I really fear for what will happen in the Democrats hands. Everyone brace yourself!

Not to worry MNMOM. It's not over yet.

I'm hoping that Tuesday morning people are gonna get up and consider the sort of things on the list RR posted and think...."nah, I ain't voting Dimmocrat. Too much is at stake to let the likes of Hitlary, Kerry, Rangel and Schumer get their grubby little hands on some real power; besides, it's too much fun to watch them gnash their pointy little teeth."

I'm looking forward to the Dimmocrats screaming about how George Bush and them mean 'ol Republicans done stole another election.

sure did not take long to dig up the 9/11 lie!
nothing but a home-made incidence to gain more power, deceive the dumb public and give more tax money to the oil multies.
what progress in Iraq and Afghanistan?
are you calling chaos and a waste of lifes and tax money progress?
well, tomorrow is the day of recognition,
isn't it?

I was always under the impression that the best politician was one that went to Washington, did and said nothing and went home.

Just my two cents.

This quote by Tocquville comes to mind:

"The American Republic will endure, until politicians realize they can bribe the people with their own money."
