There is a computer system in place that everytime you order a pizza, buy groceries, or do anything using credit card, check card, or check. drivers license, taxes etc. Believe it or not. I was watching A and E, cold face files and they used this system called faces of the nation. and said this system "Faces of the nation" tracks and saves every time a named transaction is made anywhere. ON this cold case files, two men had shot a hotel clerk in 1974, 20 years later a computer system matched finger prints and they got a name. went to jail and this perk, gave them a name of the shooter. The shooter had moved out of phoenix arizona in 1975 with no trace. So the police went to the faces of the nation computer site and found a address for the man. SO i mean it was tv, but i think these shows are based pretty much facts. Was a little bit of a wake up call for me. Might need to use cash more..

DS and I always have a giggle over the fact that his finger prints are in the police data base as Donald Duck. We went on a homeschool field trip one year and they were showing the kids how they took electronic fingerprints. They used DS as an example. They listed his name as Donald Duck. I kept the card, in case he was ever abducted, since he was only 8 at the time, but I sure would love for them to come knocking on our door looking for Donald Duck. ;D

Not just that but thanks to the "patriot" act banks are required to report any transaction over 5 grand and I believe it voluntary to report anything over 2 grand. Those little cards you get from your grocery store and such that give you the little discounts allow tracking of purchases as well.

Methods of keeping your privacy go along these lines:

If you want to invest try gold and silver. Try gulching and work amongst yourselves and barter and trade for goods and services. Get rid of your credit cards or pay them off and don't use them. Be wary of free give aways because when you do you are basically giving permission to get added to junk mail.

In all matters refuse to use you SSN for anything other than issues with the IRS. Any other Ideas?

I figured you weren't a fugitive, just giving you a hard time.
;)

Thanks for the info.

Recording and tracking your purchases is not as innocuous as it sounds. Recently there was a court case in southern California involving a man who slipped and fell in a local Von's market. Of course, the man took the grocery to court. The store pulled this guy's purchasing records, noted that he routinely purchased alcoholic beverages at Von's, and declared in court that he must have been drunk during to time of the accident and Von's was not libel! That's an example of how they'll use YOUR information against you.

*Might need to use cash more..

I tried that.
At every motel I stayed at they asked for an ID.
They never asked when I used a credit card! * * ???

I'd just like to mind my own business, and keep others out of it. *::)

Peace ,

dont laugh its not so much they have to "watch" as it is they can research and recall thus in case the need arise you get a little red flag and then they watch and build their case.

From cradle to grave there have always been those who believe its their inherent right to rule over others and exploit their complacency.

Each generation they sell another load of horsefeathers and tighten their grip and dig deeper.

War for democracy
war for drugs
war for poverty
war on disease
war on terror

etc etc

And the scary thing is-- if you get a political administration similar to the one during the McCarthy era-- and there are future terrorist threats-- Government paranoia will take over, and many innocent Americans will have little red flags on their identity-- and be considered dissidents for minding thier own business.

All they would have to do to get watched is visit a Michael Moore type website- or something alternative that excersizes freedom of the press.

There are no checks and balances with the "Patriot" act when you get a paranoid group running the country.

Absoluently-----I know they were on here hot and heavy a couple of years ago.

The door was opened along time before the Patriot Act was enactted--its called The War on Drugs-- ;D

As a member of AA---i was going to a local town to pick up a lady that was court ordered to AA---unbeknow to me----she was a big time delaer in pills---
Long story short---

I was washing my truck---saw a devise fall off [[ power washer ]]---it was a tracking device---I had noticed being followed--but thats a normal thing in this drug--parnoid county.

I dropped it down the drin [[ ;D]].
I stopped going for the lady----for one thing---I wont put myself in a situation that soap and water wont wash off.

Seee being innocent has nothing to do with the inane paranoia---

Went to the chief of police here and explained---exactly what kinda of lawsuit they were in for---he hemmed and hawed---But they quit messing with me.

Any law--any reason will be used to keep us in sheeple mode.

oh BTW--ladies husband understood---he started bringing her to meetings----
