New from Wisconsin
I just signed up so thought I'd be polite and introduce myself. I'm Lynn, 31, single, a computer analyst, and newly in my first home. I have an interest in homesteading in a few years when I'm ready to move again, so I'm trying to pick up skills as I go and put into practice what I can in my current location. Looking forward to learning more while I'm here :)

Welcome, vigilant Lynn. You sure have come to the right place to pick up skills; these boards are full of wisdom. And it appears to me you have a lot to offer, in your turn. Come on in, set a spell, come back often.

Welcome! Sounds like you're on the right track. Every skill plus the knowledge you acquire now will really pay off when you get to your homestead.

Hello all you WI folks
Hi guys,

I am from Ladysmith myself.

Wow, this was fun to see. I hadn't been active very long but I'm back again after a 7 year break :D I've been spending less and less time on forums over the years, but thought I'd return to this one which should be more laser focused on things I care about.

I'm currently a traditional food blogger, sustainable food and farming student at UMass, and a farm intern! I ended up getting laid off and wasn't able to move, but became an urban homesteader and took the urban farming, master gardener, and certified beekeeper classes my extension offers. At the new job I'm still an analyst and got a promo to IT manager as well.

Welcome to the board. I've learned a bunch from the folks around here.

I have a long time acquaintance who built a booming plumbing business in Milwaukee. I've been up there a couple of times.

All times are GMT -2. The time now is 10:55 PM.
