After years of lurking... :)
I finally ordered my long coveted anthologies and signed up for the forum. My wife and I recently bought some property for our future homestead and will be relocating there for a simpler life when the time is right.
It is a pleasure to be here and I look forward to to the day when we can get away from the troubles and problems in the "city" of Detroit and start fresh.
You all have a great site and online community here.

Yes, welcome. Glad to see you escaped from that place alive, and not a minute too soon.

Thank you all for the kind welcomes.
We are shoving off to the northern lower peninsula of this fine state. We love the area up there and will be well on the on the outskirts of a town of several hundred people. 13 acres with a year round stream, rich black soil and only 15 minutes from a gas station or grocery store. Not quite isolated enough for most, but a fine compromise for my family. A 1000 percent improvement from where I have spent most of my life.

Welcome Sam.
I already lived in paradise ( NH ) and left for PA, ( read that as hell ) but we are 4 years from getting back, and already in the process of developing the 4 acres we have there.
Glad you are turning away from the city, I hate them.
