Default Hola from Catalonia, Spain

Just joined the forum - loads of info here - a great resource.
We have about 8 acres halfway up a hill in the province of Catalonia, Spain. 200 olive trees, 15 almonds, and a bunch of carobs.

We relocated here from England nearly 4 years ago - lived in a trailer whilst our (illegal) house was built, dug a well and started on the route to self-sufficiency.

Kids (15 & 13) now fluent in the two local languages, 20 chickens, a tractor that works occasionally and not enough hours in the day. Now looking for a donkey.

I still do some internet work from the UK, but otherwise we have had to look to ourselves for the hateful money.

Now is olive harvest here - and we have some really really good oil this year (I would say that) and are now picking olives to sell to the local mills.

Two vegetable growing seasons also helps. We have come a long way so far, with a lot to do. Somebody very helpfully said that you can only do what you can do - works for me.

Looking forward to hearing from you all
