Default Hello from north Texas

I have been reading Backwoods Home since the early 90's and have lurked and read here for a few years now. I thought it might be good to register and post occasionally.

I live in north Texas, north of DFW, on a decent piece of land I acquired about 10 years ago but only moved to permanently two years ago. Lots of improvements needed, but so far I am enjoying it all.

I personally believe that time is very short for preparing for economic disaster. One does not need a degree in economics to understand the intentional destruction happening to our country. Personally, I am trying to do my best to prepare myself for what I believe is going to be an extended period of hardship for many, many people.

Hope to be able to contribute from time to time, although I generally prefer to observe and absorb quietly, to stay within the background, or as some say, to be 'gray'. I have a good deal of knowlege and quite a few homesteading skills, so maybe I will have a bit to add on occasion.
