Default kickstarter farmer laboratory: CFLs at 30 seconds

It's been up about an hour and it is already 26% funded. Wow.

So I started making another video (lots of you have probably seen gobs of my videos), but the equipment I bought turned out to be lame. The good stuff is gonna cost more than I'm willing to spend. A bunch of people pushed me to kickstarter.

I think the video I made for the campaign turned out really cool.

Lightbulb CFF testing

I think we all know the answer to that one. The CFL's are going to die!

I see full funding by Nov. 10 I assume it is the pledges taken in.

Specifically what gear are you looking to buy?
I watched the video. Sorry, I am not signing up just to ask you this question.
Please post your results of your testing. I'm sure others here would be interested.

Getting a special timer to turn lights on and off a lot. And getting a special kind of silly-scope. And kickstarter takes 5%. And amazon takes something for processing the credit cards. And I have a friend that is a silly-scope jockey that helped me get it all set up for free the first time. This time I asked him how much he would charge to set it all up with the new equipment.

What else .... it seems I had a list before ...

So, yes! All funded! I guess folks can still get their name on the video if they want. That's sorta how kickstarter works.

This is delicious.

Today is day 15 of my light bulb tests and the first CFL died. The packaging said it would last 12,000 hours, but it didn't even make it to 100 hours.

progress report: two CFLs are now dead.

In response to a point that I seem to be having trouble making, I made this weird little story I call "Mr. Stinkypants and the CFL"
