It was 55 degrees at 6am, and thunderstorming.

NW WI corner by the lake here. "Jack Pine Savage" country. Don't let the screen name fool you, old long story.

Been a little cold snap here lately. Today back up to high 30s. Problem is we don't have much snow in the trees. And almost none down south on the crop ground. Not a good thing. Lakes will not fill up and crop land will be dryer than a popcorn f^rt............

I had this reply to each one of you and it disappeared,,I am a local from NE WI,,,the weather has been in the 30s,,,,,,,,,,,,,,not enough snow,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,which we really need the snow cover here,,rivers, lakes, land need it all,,,but we still have March and April,,,,,,,,after the 19th of May we are safe,,,,,,then plant away we will go,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,THANK YOU for all the HELLO'S,,,,Mistie

Green Bay, Rhinelander, or Hurley ?

Problem is........... Getting all the moisture for the year in March and April is NOT good....

You want the snow on the ground so the frost isn't too deep and a lot of it soaks in when it does melt. Instead of all run off the very top surface........

Just got back a month ago form WI. Drove from CT a wedding. Loved it out there. We were in Portage.
