Default Hi! Another OR Newbie here!

I've been a subscriber to BHM for years and have been reading the forum on and off for a few months. It is so nice to know there are folks that think like hubby and I. We are in semi-rural Oregon--West of Cascades. We have been doing alot of the stuff talked about here for the past couple of years. Sadly, folks we work with and socialize with are not, and, judging from their leanings, will not be anytime soon. Most folks we know are over 70 or under 35. The demographic here is weird. (hubby and I are smack in the middle)
We have no human kids--just animals. Currently-- 2 dogs, 3 cats, 9 chickens. (and with the exception of the rooster-- ALL GIRLS )
I aspire to be one of those "grand master pontificators".
I look forward to participating and learning lots of new things!
