Default Good Morning

Found this forum and finally saw enough posts that I wanted to reply to so finally signed up. I hail from Ohio.

I love the feeling you get doing things for yourself. I work on my cars, my house, my garden and everything in between.

I also brew my own beer and with the long weekend ahead I'm going to try home made wine for the first time. Any home brewers out there?

Welcome from Michigan.
I brewed my own beer many years ago (really my ex did, I "assisted") but I do make my own wine. I've got a new batch of blueberry going and vanilla mead. Just bottled 2 year old blueberry, perry, have plain mead stored, a wild rasberry that I don't like but works great for bartering with a neighbor who loves anything I don't like. Also have a bit of pumpkin from a couple years ago left.
I ferment either 1 gallon batches or 5 gallon batches, got my deacon from church making mead too. Told her not to listen to the priest, his mead making advice isn't sound. Easiest thing to make, wine is.
Keep it simple. Fruit, water, sugar, yeast, and time is all you need.

I live in the burbs but originally from the country.....so I want a big garden but only have (2) 4x8 raised beds. The only one in my sub division that I know of, plan on getting rid of those this fall and tilling up 1/3 of my smaller back yard. No HOA and in the back in the corner by a woods so shouldn't be an issue.

I try to grow a little of everything beans peas tomatoes jalapeņos carrots onions. With such a small setup the taller plants always win.
