Default Hello from South Jersey

Hello everyone. I stumbled across this forum and found it interesting.

I take an interest in having being able to do things for myself. I am well equipped with tools. There is a metal lathe, wood lathe, drill press, table saw, band saw, welder and lots of other tools in my garage. Outback, I've constructed a foundry foundry furnace next to my anvil. I'm competent with everything and always gaining more experience.

For me, I like to build things and its comforting to know that should the gears of society ever stop turning, I'll be useful enough to ensure my survival.

I look forward to hanging around. Soon enough, I'll post some projects too.

Welcome aboard...I expect you will be getting clobbered with lots of questions!

I grew up with my grandpa making things on a metal lathe - seemed to me as a kid that monster took up half the basement workshop. He would always tell me to get out of his workshop if I didn't have shoes on - due to all the corkscrew metal filings.

Thanks for the welcome.

The only thing worse than a metal sliver is a metal sliver in someplace like your foot!
