Default MasterChief & TammyLynn's Wedding

http://www.flickr.com/photos/9071061...in/photostream

I met a wonderful man through this forum on August 27, 2010 and we were married on November 3, 2012. Thank you "Backwoods Home" for being a part of the best thing that ever happened to me!

Congrats see you married a surface warfare guy. Don't hold that against him not everybody has what it takes to be a Seabee....... Spent some time in your neck of the woods many years ago stationed at NAS Jax (CBU 410) but worked over at Mayport quite a bit as at the time they did not have a CBU there.

Just plain WOW. You two look like you were made for each other. I met my wife also online. Nothing wrong with that. Better than meeting at a bar room.

I wish for both of you many blessings.

Thanks to everyone for the good wishes! We are SO happy...even though we have been through a number of life-changing events since we first met. My ex-husband (father of my 3 teenagers) committed suicide in March 2012, my father passed away May 6, 2012, my 18 year old son was critically injured (lost his right leg and still can't walk on left leg) when he was run over by a car while helping his friend push a disabled truck, Doyle's father passed away on September 11, 2012, and I was diagnosed with Stage III Colon Cancer on October 26, 2012. We were married on November 3, 2012. I started my battle with cancer the week of Thanksgiving (chemo & radiation), had surgery in February and March 2013, and I just completed round 7 of 8 aggressive Chemo Treatments! Almost at the finish line! Yeah! Doyle has been my rock throughout the past 2 years and I KNOW that God brought us together! I am SO thankful for Backwoods Home because THAT is how we found each other! Feeling SO blessed!

Wow. You brought tears to my eyes and a prayer to my heart. I am so sorry about your cancer diagnosis and the loss of loved ones for both of you, not to mention your son's trauma. However, I am so happy about your stalwart companion. I have one of those and I would not have made it this far without him. Keep us posted.

Just saw the pictures and they are great, will be praying for you for a complete recovery and regarding the pictures, does he ever smile? He looks so serious.

Smile Update...

Yes...Doyle DOES smile...but rarely in photos. He ALWAYS looks so serious in pictures. We are SO happy together and looking forward to celebrating our 1st wedding anniversary on November 3, 2013. I just celebrated my 50th birthday and I have to say that "50" doesn't feel so bad after all!

My son (injured in car accident) is now able to stand on his left leg (after 10 surgeries) and will soon be fitted for his prosthetic on the right leg. He has been working SO hard in Physical Therapy and it is paying off. I am so proud of him and the progress he has made. He is such an inspiration to me...and so many others!

I am happy to report that my PET scan a few weeks ago was good...NO cancer! Yeah! Hoping that 2014 will be full of good health for my family. Blessing to all of you and your families as well!
