Default Hillbilly Bucket-O-Tunes

I was bored this weekend and decided to build me another portable speaker system to use outside this summer. Actually, the drive-in movie opens the first week of April and I don't like being inside of the car all night..

We usually sit outside in front of the car, using folding chairs and they broadcast the movie sound over an FM transmitter, which requires you to use the car stereo or a portable radio of some kind. Most portable radios don't sound as good as I like it to be and I don't wanna drain my car battery so I built my own..

It consists of a 2 gal. plastic bucket/lid, a 6.5" single point stereo ceiling speaker, a micro chip amp, an 8 cell "AA" battery holder and a handful of misc. other parts..

I like it.
I'm reminded of the George Jones song High Tech Redneck.
I really miss drive in movies.
All of them around us closed years ago.

Bring back drive-in movies.
We did that--lawns chairs,a huge sack of home popped corn and a gallon of kool-aid for the kids.

Marathon western night---with none other than a young Clint Eastwood.
And real cartoons---Donald Duck in the green house with a bumble bee was my favorite.

Add some head-phones 12V---

What we did in cars at the drive in , you can't do sitting in front of the car.
