Default Powdered Alcohol

Watching CBS news this am and low and behold, there will be powdered alcohol on the market.
I guess they jest when they say you will be able to pour water in it to have an instant drink.
You can sprinkle it on your food.

I am waiting to see who jumps on this one---wonder what Proof it'll be? :

A new way to have booze to go.
And when a cop ask you if you have been drinking you can honestly say NO!!!

Of course not. We humans need to be protected from ourselves....... and, of course, heavily taxed to pay for that protection.

Hmm..... From that article, referring to patents:

"One by General Foods Corp. in the 1970s says the product is made by absorbing the ethanol onto some sort of carbohydrate powder."

I'm going to have to dig into those patent to see what process equipment is required.

Just because I'm a Geek, and powdered alcohol sure sounds like a necessity in the go bag.

The only way you will powder ethanol is to solidify it at a very low temperature, -114 oC.

This is BS.

But you can make jello shots..........
