Default Air Tanks...

OK.... So I got a bunch of old propane tanks... Been making things out of them...

Here are a 30# and 40# tanks I turned into air tanks... First... The tanks are in obviously good condition... No major dents, rust, or other obvious flaws... Tanks with flaws I use for Hobo Stoves, and other projects...

Turn out the propane valve... Turn the tank upside down, outside, over night...

You can see what color paint I had the most of... And is one of my favorite colors... That being John Deere green.... If I find another tank, maybe JD yellow....

The head assembly is a 3/4" x 1/4" pipe bushing, with a pipe nipple into the air tool manifold... All the parts were easily available in the hardware store plumbing section and air tool area...

Use pipe dope over Teflon tape thread sealant... And a little bit of pepperment oil in the tank to mask the bad smell that is put in the gas...

The much bigger tanks, and resulting much bigger volume of air, than the usual size of portable air tanks make it a lot more more useful...

Good luck...

Always fresh.

Using the 1-3 air tool fitting is genius!
Government is not reason, it is not eloquence it is force! Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master.
