Default Elderberry.

Within the next month Elderberries will be in prime condition. I have marked where to find along side roads by the white flower in July and will harvest when ripe. This is my simple method of processing. As to the health benefits, I take with a grain of salt. But the juice does make a pleasant
drink.

This year about 30 pounds of elderberries have been picked and processed into juice.About two pounds of berries make one litre of juice. The berries are not as prolific this year due to a long drought. To date 14 litres have been pressure canned. Annotated pictures depict the process.

That sounds a lot like you're stealing other people's property, unless of course, you're finding the owners and asking their permission to enter their property and pick their fruits

It's illegal here to take any vegetation from the right of ways of the roads

Never knew anybody to be concerned about such a silly thing around here. Seems a shame to let them go to waste. Also road allowance is probably public land.

I don't consider stealing a "silly thing"

You have no idea if the people who own the land have plans to use the berries themselves.

It could be they show up to pick them and find you've stolen them already

Right of ways are not public land.

They are only "public" in the sense that you can drive on the road, and pull off in an emergency, and are generally kept free of most vegetation

If you're more than 30 ft from the center of the road, or beyond any ditches you're probably on private property

You'd be both trespassing and stealing by going onto someone else's property and taking their fruit.

Maybe in Canada things are different, but decent people here
ASK PERMISSION before taking things that belong to others

Whatever turns your crank. To all people I know it is a non-issue.

I'm with Bearfootfarm. We have Blackberries growing all over the area I live in, along roads, near the rivers, backyards... Sure people will pick them and some even have the nerve to sell them. It doesn't make it right, if it's at the edge of someone's yard at least be courteous enough to ask permission.

If you want to believe that, it's your choice.
I doubt it's true

I choose to think otherwise, and I'll be putting you on ignore, since as near as I can tell, your posts are pretty much nothing but spam to get more hits on your website anyway.

Default Elderberries

You may want to consider roadside elderberries' acquisition of exhaust during their life. Do you really want berries that have been taking in exhaust during their whole life? Bleah.
