Default Hello From SW PA

I guess that pretty much covers it, right??

I'm a transplanted West Virginian now living on the extreme outskirts of Pittsburgh. Hey, OK, it allows my husband to work in his chosen field, thus paying the bills, while I dream about frugality, consideration, planning, and politeness getting us the chance to "retire" back to our "backwoods home." I guess it's true what they say-- you can take the 'billy out of the hills, but you can't take the hills out of the 'billy.

What do I do with my time?? Keep house, raise kids (4), can stuff (whatever I can get my hands on), raise a garden, cook, bake, read things, and try to figure out how to use a sewing machine. OK, that's a short list-- obviously I stay up way too late horsing around on forums, too.

I doubt I have much to teach here, but I imagine I have A LOT to learn and hope I will make the most of it (and contribute what I can along the way).

Welcome from New Jersey, SisterMouse. You know what they say, bloom where you're planted! Looking forward to your posts, we can all learn something new.

Welcome from East Central Ohio. I'm ~2 hrs. away from Pittsburg in the middle of the woods..

I'm a converted city boy myself. Never knew what I was missin' until I planted myself out here. Gotta be alone to find someone and I found myself. It's a great feeling..

Good luck in your venture. Plenty of good folks around here to lend a hand..

Welcome from northeast Washington. Sounds like you have a full life right now. I'm sure everything you want will come in time. Best of luck!
